At the Christmas special of the ARD Star Quiz on the 10th of December, TV presenter Ruth Moschner won 32,500 Euros. She is donating half her winnings, 16,250 Euros, to the *Stars of Tomorrow e.V. initiative, the other half goes to Ruth tut gut e.V. On Thursday night, Ruth Moschner and NDR presenter Alexander Bommes joined forces to answer host Jörg Pilawa’s tricky questions on the celebrity quiz show. Ruth Moschner, who has been involved in youth work since she was 14, wants to use the winnings as financial support for both initiatives. In the context of her own charity work, Ruth tut gut e.V. strives to prevent youth unemployment. Ruth Moschner has been a celebrity ambassador for the private charity *Stars of Tomorrow since 2006. The vocal football fan already took a look at the work on site when she travelled to the *Stars of Tomorrow project in Soshanguve north of Pretoria at the start of the year. “Every child should have access to education - the initiative makes an important contribution here and football is a great medium for getting important messages across, breaking through language barriers,” states Ruth Moschner. |
